The Shanghai Temple-Shandong ± 800 kV High Voltage DC Project, which was built by the State Network Shandong Electric Power, successfully completed a 168-hour trial operation recently, marking the completion of the "five to four straight" ultra-high pressure project of the National Action Plan for the Prevention and Control of Air Pollution.
The Shanghai Temple-Shandong ± 800 kV high voltage DC project was approved on December 1, 2015 and construction began on December 15, 2015. The project started at the Yikezhao in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, and ended at the Yinan Reflow Station in Linyi City, Shandong Province. It passes through Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Hebei, Henan, and Shandong provinces. The total length of the line is 1,230 kilometers, and the rated capacity is 10 million kilowatts. It is currently the first batch of DC transmission projects with the largest transmission power and the use of layered access and the configuration of adjustment cameras. The project is one of the National "13th Five-Year Plan" energy conservation and emission reduction, West Power East Delivery, and "Four Horizontal and Four Vertical" major passages. It is a key project of the National Action Plan for the Prevention and Control of Air Pollution and an important part of the construction of the ultra-high voltage power grid of the National Grid Company.
The Weinan converter station serves as the receiving end of the Shanghai Temple-Shandong High Voltage DC Project, with a rated power double pole of 10 million kilowatts and a rated current of 6,250 amps. It installs a converter Transformer 24 +4(standby) station with a single capacity of 493.08 MVA. The network side adopts a layered access scheme. The access to the 1000 kV and 500 kV systems respectively is the first domestic transfer station, adjustment camera station, and substation station to start the terminal project at the same time.
Moreover, Linyi's camera adjustment project is the first batch of camera adjustment demonstration projects of the National Electric Grid Company, setting a record for the largest scale of construction of the national network system, the highest construction difficulty, and the most complex logic control.
At present, the ultra-high voltage entry into the Lu project has advanced rapidly. Only the two ultra-high voltage DC lines in Yinan and Qingzhou have reached a full capacity of 20 million kilowatts. After the completion of the Shanghai Temple-Shandong High Voltage DC Project, it will significantly improve the ability of "foreign power entering Lu" and optimize the power grid structure and trend distribution in an all-round way, adding safety guarantees to the peak winter in the province. At the same time, it has helped Shandong to save energy and reduce emissions, prevent atmospheric pollution, and promote energy transformation and green development. The economic and social benefits are remarkable.
